Hi Louis,
Just wanted to let you know I appreciate all your great tips.
I’ve been searching the web a lot and find your website to be the most clear and easy to maneuver.
I took up golfing when I was in middle school with some “cut down” clubs and never really got the hang of it and I pretty much quit in frustration after a couple years of shanking the ball.
Now I’m 28 and have a little extra time on my hands and have decided to give it another shot (I feel I’m much more patient and of course mature than I was back in middle, early high school). I recently purchased some new Ping irons (I’m also a lefty) and a 3 wood.
After looking at your tips and a couple sessions at the range I’m hitting the ball better than ever(and most importantly getting some consistency). Needless to say I’ve definitely got the “golf bug” and can’t wait to get out there again. I feel like it’s opened a new door in my life and gotten me excited about playing a sport again!
I’ve been spreading news of your website around to some good friends of mine who shoot in the 80s and they too have found it very helpful. Thanks again!

New Wave Group AB (NEWAb.ST) has entered into an agreement to acquire substantially all of the assets of the US based headwear company, Ahead, for $17.4 million in addition to a net asset value adjustment of approximately $5 million.
Ahead is best known for its headwear collections that feature original approaches to logo embroidery options. Founded in 1995, and based in New Bedford, Mass., the company operates four distinct business units; Men’s Apparel, Ahead Headgear, the “Heavy Metal” line of golf accessories and the “Kate Lord TM Collection” of women’s hats, apparel and accessories.
The acquisition will be included in a newly formed subsidiary within New Wave USA Inc. During 2010, Ahead reported sales of close to $32 million with an operating profit (EBIT) of approximately $2.7 million.
The acquisition of Ahead joins the New Wave Group corporate portfolio, as the parent company of Cutter & Buck, Clique, Craft, Orrefors, Kosta Boda among other brands. The transaction is expected to close in the third quarter of 2011 and is subject to customary closing conditions.
“Ahead’s strong market position in the headwear category will be an excellent complement to our business components,” said Torsten Jansson, Managing Director and CEO of New Wave Group. “Ahead has been recognized for revolutionizing headwear in the golf community,” he added.

A TripAdvisor™ TripWow slideshow of a travel blog to KwaZulu Natal, South Africa by TravelPod blogger Allisonandjeff titled "Bunnies and Elephants" Allisonandjeff’s travel blog entry: "After the… wildness… of the Wild Coast, we were a little shocked when we rolled into a new province, KwaZulu Natal, and the scenery changed dramatically. Gone were the dried out pastures and herds of cows and, in their place, were condos, parking lots and gated beaches. We stayed a couple nights, though, and spent a day at the beach – we actually swam in the ocean one day (the only day in South Africa for Allison did and only the second for Jeff – it is winter here…). It wasn’t that interesting, though, and we were compelled to move on to the big city of Durban soon enough. We spent a lot of time in Durban working online. We had been emailing back and forth with a couple of discount air ticket brokers since early June and were at a point where we wanted to commit to an itinerary for the rest of our trip. But doing this suddenly required us to coordinate a lot of details – visits from family members, ideal amounts of time in one region versus another, where in the US to fly back into… Finally, though, we got it organized and are officially going around the world. We are flying to India mid-September, then to Southeast Asia early-December, to Hawaii mid-March and then to the west coast of the US at the end of March. Hard to comprehend, really. But that isn’t all we did… First of all …
